Due to the custom nature of our window replacement at the Field Museum
of Natural History, a stringent battery of laboratory tests were
specified for the new design. Air infiltration, water penetration,
condensation resistance and structural strength were tested on our
prototype at the Construction Research Laboratory in Miami, Florida.
This clip shows the final test - a structural test taken to destruction.
In this test, the test chamber (not our window) failed at 130 psf,
equivalent to a 520 mph wind!
